LIGHTING AND PRODUCTION DESIGN

A one-night, arena-scale DJ event transforming Wintrust Arena into a high-energy club environment. The show ran as a continuous, multi-artist format with no resets, blending house and open-format DJs with live hosting from Will Ferrell in support of Cancer for College, headlined by Swedish House Mafia.

Produced by G4D Productions with full production by Gateway Studios & Production Services, the build centered on a single system designed to carry momentum across the entire lineup. Movingbeam led lighting and technical design, developing a system built for continuous operation.

The challenge was maintaining energy without resets... no band changeovers, no scenic shifts. The system had to carry the show.

A central DJ position anchored the room, with lighting built around beam architecture, strobes, and audience-facing positions to keep the space active. Programming followed a busked structure with tempo-driven looks and fast intensity shifts, moving between underground house and full festival energy without breaking flow.

The result was a continuous, high-energy environment with seamless transitions and full-room engagement.
